The approximately 13 thousand users of the Health Extension of Almancil, in the municipality of Loulé, a unit that is part of the Central Group of Health Centers (ACES), will, by the end of this year, benefit from better service conditions.

This is because the Algarve Regional Health Administration (ARS) is carrying out conservation, improvement, requalification and functional adaptation works, with the aim of providing this health unit with better operating conditions as a Personalized Health Care Unit, benefiting both users and health professionals.

The works currently in progress, with a total investment of around 63 thousand euros, are mainly aimed at adapting the facilities for people with limited mobility in accordance with the technical accessibility standards currently in force, as well as the creation of a new work office and of suitable spaces for dirty and dumping and waste storage.

With the completion of these works, under the responsibility of the Facilities and Equipment Office, ARS Algarve intends to «continue with the restructuring and reorganization process of health services in the Region, in a structured and rigorous manner, thus contributing to the improvement of accessibility, of the comfort and greater humanization of health care provided to the population».
