Serra de Monchique receives, on the 8th and 9th of November, the final competition of the Portuguese Rally Championship. With the title to be awarded, three riders arrive in the Algarve with a desire to reach the scepter and promise excitement from the first to the last section.

On November 8th and 9th, the 42nd edition of the Algarve race will hit the road, which will go down in history for deciding the absolute champion in 2013.

In an insular duel, Ricardo Moura and Bernardo Sousa join the Rallye Casinos do Algarve and depend on themselves to become champions.

Separated by 8 points, the advantage goes to the Azorean who mans the Skoda Fabia S2000, but the Madeiran, who has three CPR victories, will have to be the best on the road and on the Power Stage to regain the desired title.

On the lookout for a failure of his main opponents, Pedro Meireles promises to be at the right time, in the right place, in a rally he knows and won in 2011, for CPR.

The reasons for the interest of the test extend to the attribution of the title of CPR2 and of the Production Group, without forgetting the participation of outsiders who can confuse the accounts.

A particular highlight is the Fóia special, which, due to its characteristics, has been outstanding in the assessment of the winners, and it is the Power Stage that will decide the attribution of bonus points.

For the first time, the rally has the presence of the Open peloton, which will perform the same route as the CPR, and allows for an unprecedented comparison between the championships.

In the last two seasons, as part of the Portuguese Cup, Ricardo Teodósio and Carlos Martins were the fastest and scored in the name in the Algarve competition.

The players in the southern region are also going to parade in the Algarve mountains. The fifth race of CRRS is led by Carlos Martins, who has already won the Open and Regional Centro title, and in the 4 Wheels Drive it is Paulo Santos who will start in front.

The rally is also eligible for the Junior Championship, National Classics Cup, Modelstand Challenge and “Fastbravo” Trophy.

Keeping the structure of a compact rally, the rally will be headquartered at the Hotel Algarve Casino, in Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, although the competitive aspect will be on the roads of the Monchique mountains
