Promotional films from Rota Vicentina and Turismo do Alentejo won awards at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards festival.

The promotional short film “Rota Vicentina – Two Steps to Freedom” was awarded in Cannes, in the tourist films section of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, with a Silver Dolphin.

Commissioned by Associação Casas Brancas, responsible for the pedestrian route that crosses the Alentejo and Algarve, it was produced by Zoe Films Europe and directed by Danilo Warick and Gonçalo Paixão.

On the other hand, the promotional short “Alentejo, time to be happy” also won a Silver Dolphin, in the same section of tourist films.

Premiered in February at the Lisbon International Tourism Fair, the promotional film was released by Turismo do Alentejo, being directed by Eduardo Sousa and co-directed by Tito Costa, as well as being produced by Flavor Productions. It has a soundtrack by Nuno Maló, is starred by Ela Clark and has the participation of many inhabitants of Alentejo.

The film is available online and in eight languages (Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, German, Dutch, Russian and Mandarin), and is being presented at several international tourist fairs.

The Rota Vicentina film had already been awarded in March in Berlin by ITB, the largest tourism fair in the world.

The video intends to communicate the essence of this project, which proposes a sensorial experience associated with the immense potential of this region, which is one of the largest, most beautiful and best preserved coastal areas in Southern Europe.

Moments of walking along different environments and landscapes, with trails along the coast and inland, gastronomy, people, tourist offer, identity and freedom – there are several ingredients that make up this video, but authenticity stands out above all. , which guarantees the visitor an experience with the potential to be, in everything, as exciting as that of the protagonist of this story.

The characters – including the protagonist – are represented by local people, who are available to give life to a project that is above all community.
