The «Projeto Barril» will be officially presented on Saturday, at 11 am, in a ceremony that will take place at Praia do Barril, in Tavira, namely in the old tuna armature there, which serves as the basis for this local development initiative. On the same day, the exhibition «Aves da Ria Formosa» will be inaugurated.
The Pedras d'el Rei Group, which manages the existing development next to Praia do Barril and the trade and services area installed in the former structure, joined forces with the University of Algarve and other partners to replicate in Tavira the methodology used in «Project Querença», in Loule.
The projects are not similar, not least because the socio-economic realities of the places where they are based are very different, but both are based on the logic of putting a group of young graduates in different areas to think about a specific territory and find solutions to make it more dynamic. .
In the case of «Projeto Barril», ten interns were chosen, who have already started working in September. This first moment will therefore already have your “signature”.
