The «Architectural and Landscape Heritage: the Quintas de Faro – research, design, dynamize”, will be the theme of a conference that NAPUA – Nucleus of Landscape Architecture of the University of Algarve will promote on September 20th, at the Green Amphitheater of the Gambelas Campus of this institution.

This initiative, which is part of the project «Building the City through Heritage», aims to share experiences in the areas of research and intervention in farms and their associated landscape heritage, through the contribution of several technicians with experience in this field.

From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, experts will intervene, who will focus on various topics related to the main one. Among them, practical cases, such as the experience of Horta do Ourives de Faro and the social and peri-urban gardens in this municipality.

Entry into the initiative is free, but prior registration is still mandatory and must be made to [email protected]. At the end, a certificate of participation will be awarded.

At the same time, the exhibition «History of Garden Art» is on display at the Central Library of the University of the Algarve until the 25th, which invites you to take a tour of the historic-artistic styles and proposals for the restoration of gardens and historic sites in the Algarve, revisiting a decade of work by students in the Landscape Architecture course at the University of Algarve.
