The movement «With Faro no Coração» (CFC), which supports the candidacy of José Vitorino to the Chamber of Faro, accused the current municipal executive of "deliberate delays in the inauguration of the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo and in payments to suppliers to coincide with elections", a situation that he believes is causing "enormous damage".

The movement speaks of "two electoral coups" of the coalition in power in the Chamber of Faro they consider to be “public crimes”. The movement points the finger not only to the current president of the municipality Macário Correia, but also to its vice president and candidate supported by the PSD/CDS-PP/MPT/PPM/MIM Rogério Bacalhau coalition.

“In a municipality with such serious shortages of sports infrastructure, they delayed the construction of the Pavilion by months to open them now. In the 2009 campaign and at the beginning of the term, they criticized the stoppage of the works they found (with good reason). Later, they announced their inauguration. Then they thought they had discovered an “electoral streak” and stopped the works, only to inaugurate on the eve of the elections”, accused the CFC.

The work on the sports pavilion was launched at the end of the term of José Vitorino, a candidate supported by the CFC and since its inception has had technical and financial problems. Its inauguration was even announced for April, after an agreement that allowed the transfer of the work of the previous insolvent contractor to another builder, but so far it has not opened to the public.

With regard to debts to suppliers, the CFC accuses the municipality of delaying the process of the Financial Rebalancing Program and the loan of 21 million euros from the Local Economy Support Program (PAEL), «provoking bankruptcies and unemployment». "Everything is being done to, after promises and mistakes during the mandate, only pay suppliers, associations, clubs, etc., on the eve of the elections, in yet another shameless propaganda maneuver," the movement accused.
