João Torres, secretary general of Socialist Youth (JS), will be in the Algarve on August 7th and 8th, Wednesday and Thursday, as part of the Roadmap Against Austerity, an initiative aimed at focusing the country's priority on “promotion of an economic growth agenda”.

The initiative will start with a visit to the Medieval Fair of Silves, where contacts will be made with local entrepreneurs and producers, followed, in Portimão, with a moment of municipal support, with an intervention by the secretary general of young socialists, in the presentation from the lists of the candidacy of Isilda Gomes – Novos Rumos, to the Municipality of Portimão.

On Thursday, the day will be spent in the municipalities of Loulé, Faro and Olhão, with a series of visits to successful companies in the region and meetings with the youth movement in support of Vítor Aleixo's candidacy for the Municipality of Loulé, and with ECOS, Cooperative for Education, Cooperation and Development.

The day ends with a get-together “The Future Depends on Young People, at Café Aliança, in Faro, organized by Paulo Neves' candidacy for the City Council of Faro.

18:30 – Meeting with the ECOS Cooperative – University of Algarve
21:30 – Tertúlia “The Future Depends on Young People” – Aliança à Quinta – Faro
