It is not every day that a fellow citizen turns a hundred years old and, in Conceição de Tavira, the centenary of Maria da Trindade, a native and resident of the parish, will be celebrated by the community.
The party is scheduled for 17 pm on Sunday, September 1st, in the hall of the Casa do Povo in this town and the invitation of the local Parish Council, which organizes the party, is extended to the entire population.
The birthday girl had five children, having known the death of a 40-year-old daughter. She, too, of the same age, was seriously ill, having remained hospitalized for a period of one year.
Something that did not prevent, about 60 years later, reaching an age that few can boast of reaching.
The celebration will be promoted as a "homage for the long years of life" of the inhabitant of Conceição de Tavira.
