Grace Viognier from Quinta dos Vales is “The Best Wine in the Algarve”

Grace Vineyard white and Grace Viognier wines, both from the 2012 vintage, were awarded two Gold medals in the VI competition “The Best Wine of the Algarve”, which took place at Fatacil, in Lagoa, on August 17th.

Added to this was a “Grande Gold Medal” for Viognier, which was thus consecrated as “The Best Wine in the Algarve”.

These medals now join the more than 80 awards already won by Quinta dos Vales, located in the municipalities of Lagoa and Silves, twelve of which were won this year in various international competitions.

The first success took place in March, in China, where they received a Gold Medal for the “Marquês dos Vales Selecta red 2010” and the trophy for “Portuguese Producer of the Year 2013 at the China Wine & Spirits Awards (CWSA).

In May followed a Silver Medal for the “Marquês dos Vales Grace Touriga Nacional 2009” at the “Sommelier Wine Awards 2013”, in the United Kingdom, and a Silver Medal for the “Marquês dos Vales Selecta Rosé 2012” at the “Primeiro National Wine Competition”, held during the 5th “Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal” of the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira.

In the following weeks, “Grace Verdelho” white 2012 wines were also distinguished in the “International Wine Challenge” (IWC), “Decanter World Wines Awards” (DWWA) and “International Wine & Spirit Competition” (IWSC) competitions. with 2 Silver medals (IWC and IWSC), and the “Grace Vineyard” red 2008, with 2 Bronze medals (IWC and IWSC) and a Praise (DWWA).

The “Grace Viognier” 2012 and the “Primeira Selecção” red 2010 also received a Bronze Medal at the “International Wine & Spirit Competition”, with the PST also receiving Praise at the “Decanter World Wines Awards”.
