As part of the 7th REMESA Technical Meeting – World Organization for Animal Health, this year organized by the DGAV (General Directorate of Food and Veterinary Medicine), a visit was made to Alcoutim, where the OPP (Organization of Livestock Producers) with the largest number of livestock farms and the largest number of small ruminants (sheep and goats) in the Algarve.

This meeting resulted in an exchange of experiences from the most diverse countries represented, such as Slovenia, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Egypt and Morocco, among others.

The approximately 40 participants in the event were received in Alcoutim, in Castelo da Vila, by the president of the Chamber Francisco Amaral, by the vice president José Carlos Pereira, and by the president of the Alcoutim OPP, Paulo Pina.
