João Manuel Cabrita, one of the seven producers that make up the Wines of Silves, was awarded at the XII International Competition “La Selezione del Sindaco”, which took place from May 30th to June 2nd in Castelfranco Veneto and Asolo, in Italy.
«Cabrita Tinto Reserva 2009» was the wine awarded with the Gold medal of this event, which is the only international wine competition that foresees the joint participation of the producer and the Municipality of origin of the productions and whose differentiating element is the mission of enhancing the productions, the result of tradition and a distinct territory.
"This presents itself, thus, as another recognition of the quality of the wines of Silves and thus joins other international distinctions received this year by the producers that integrate this brand", stresses the Câmara de Silves, in a note press release.
