Two artists who share a passion for design and nature, with an enormous vocation to develop creative works and in collaboration with the local community. These are the guests of yet another Beta Tal, scheduled for Monday, June 17, thus setting the tone for yet another inspiring evening.

From 19 pm, at Café Concerto do TEMPO – Portimão Municipal Theater, Inês Barracha, mentor of the MODO project, and João Rei, organizer of Sagres Surf Culture, will share their entrepreneurial journeys, in an informal and relaxed atmosphere that reflects the spirit Beta Talk.

Degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Agnes Barracha is a visual artist who combines the skills of fine arts with various fields of design and multimedia, having lived for three years in England, studied and worked in the field of 3D digital animation.

Back in Portugal, she is invited to teach several subjects in higher and technical courses in Design, Multimedia, Animated Image and Illustration, in parallel with the classes, she developed her personal work.

The dream of creating and managing artistic projects spoke louder and embraces the MODE project, a neo-rural space for artistic experimentation that aims to link popular knowledge with the contemporary way of life, offering products, services and training in various creative areas.

João Rei was born in Faro in 1971 and his career as a designer began practically at the same time that he straightened up on a surfboard, with which he discovered a new world of colors and emotions, from which he drew his greatest inspiration in life and work.

He currently resides in Sagres with his young family, where he works as a freelance graphic artist, performing his works in very different areas, with an aesthetic that is mostly influenced and inspired by the “boardriding” culture.

Known as "can't surf naked“João has collaborated with many other artists, in a lively circle of creative projects and is the mentor and organizer of Sagres Surf Culture, an event consisting of exhibitions, lectures and concerts, where he brings together the most active personalities in the creative and cultural field of surfing Portuguese.
