Between the 7th and 10th of June, Portimão Arena will host the second edition of the Algarve Genuíno – Aromas, Flavors and Regional Knowledge fair, a showcase representative of typical Algarve products, from handicrafts to sweets, including gastronomy and ethnography.
During these four days, visitors will be able to learn about traditional knowledge and enjoy live handicrafts, also tasting the best regional flavors of the Algarve, from sweets to sausages, including jams and jellies, dried fruits, liqueurs and wines, biological products, aromatic plants and medicinal products, honey and derivatives, etc.
Colloquiums, live cooking demonstrations, various tastings, decanting and showing of regional wines, musical entertainment, performance of folklore groups and a restaurant area with taverns are planned.
The event opens on June 7 between 17:00 pm and 00:00 am, on Saturday and Sunday it can be visited from 11:00 am to 00:00 am, while on the June 10th holiday it runs from 11:00 am to 22:00 pm, with tickets for the price of one euro.
The Algarve Genuíno fair is organized by the Confraria dos Enófilos e Gastronómica do Algarve, in partnership with Portimão Urbis and DRALG – Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, with the support of ERTA – Turismo do Algarve.
