Quinta do Francês, João Clara and Quinta dos Vales, three of the seven producers that make up the Silves wines, were awarded at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2013 and at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013.
João Clara red 2011, from Essential Passion Lda. (João Clara), and French Thursday 2009 (Patrick Agostini, Lda.) were the wines awarded, respectively, the gold medal and the silver medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
In this competition, two wines were also awarded Foral of Portimão, one with a bronze medal (Foral de Portimão Colheita Selectada, 2011) and another with the title “Commended” (Foral de Portimão Reserva, 2011).
At the Decanter World Wine Awards, Marquis of the Valleys Grace Vineyard 2008 and Marquês dos Vales First Selection 2010, from Quinta dos Vales, were the wines awarded the title “Commended”.
The brand “Silves wines”, launched in 2009 by the Municipality of Silves, associates all producers in the municipality, having been born from the desire of the municipality to promote the dissemination of this product in all events where the municipality is promoted and where it is present.
Associated with this fact, the Silves Chamber also integrates the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities, whose mission is linked to the affirmation of the historical-cultural, heritage, economic and social identity of Portuguese municipalities and territories linked to wine production Of Quality.
