Portimonense today beat Sporting da Covilhã by 3 to zero in the city of Beira. The Algarvian team achieved an extended result, even without the scorer Simmy, who is struggling with physical problems and temporarily climbed to fifth place, six points behind second-placed Arouca, but the chances of advancement are very limited.

Arouca hasn't played yet and if they win the 39th round match played this weekend, Portimonense will be removed from the promotion. The first place has long been guaranteed by Belenenses, at this moment 27 points behind Portimonense and 21 points behind the 2nd place.

In today's game, Portimonense scored all the goals in the second half, with Anselmo opening the counter after 55 minutes. At 66, Fábio Felício increased the count to two to zero and the game accounts were closed in 3 to zero already in discounts, by Fabricio.
