25 children and young people from the “Fundación Realmadrid” school will receive, this Friday, the 24th, at 18 pm, their sports equipment at that school's Castro Marim pole, whose preferred modality is basketball.
Baixo Guadiana hosted the first «Realmadrid» school in the country, whose classes are divided into Vila Real de Santo António, Monte Gordo, Vila Nova de Cacela and Castro Marim.
The opening of the socio-sports school of the «Realmadrid» foundation took place in October 2011, a school that serves around 120 students aged between 5 and 12 years. The modalities in practice are football and basketball.
The various activities take place between the VRSA Sports Complex, the football field of Monte Gordo, the Vila Nova de Cacela pavilion and the Castro Marim municipal pavilion. The target audience is all students, of both sexes, and priority is given to children and young people in social exclusion, as well as young people with obesity problems.
In the case of Castro Marim, there is only basketball, every Wednesday and Friday, at the Castro Marim Municipal Pavilion between 17:45 pm and 19:00 pm. Classes are free.
