The exhibition «O Mar, Horizonte do Olhar» will show works of photography, painting and sculpture by Telma Veríssimo and Valter Veríssimo at the Zem Arte Gallery-Bar in São Brás de Alportel, from Friday, April 5th to 23rd of May.

«This exhibition by Telma Veríssimo and Valter Veríssimo brings together works that, using different techniques of expression, have the sea as their theme. It results from the proposal made by the Zem Arte gallery to these artists and brothers to cross their work», revealed those responsible for the gallery, in a press release.

Valter Veríssimo was born in Faro for 35 years and has been designing, painting and recycling materials into art pieces for as long as he can remember. In Lisbon, he studied at the prestigious Escola António Arroio, where he learned to work with plastics and took a course in graphic communication arts and technologies. Back in the Algarve, he attended the cultural heritage course at the University of Algarve, always creating new works and already counting on a vast portfolio of drawings, paintings, sculptures and photographs, mostly with the sea as the main theme.

Telma Veríssimo studied at the Superior Artistic School of Porto, has extensive training in the field of photography, with many exhibitions held and photographs edited in a book, and is well known as a photojournalist in the Algarve.
