The second measure will be the “creation of a Support Office for the Associative Movement, allowing for economies of scale and greater synergies”.

The candidate also guaranteed that "everything" will be done "to prevent our public hospital from seeing its reduced valences". "Because health is one of the pillars of any developed society, I cannot admit that there are first-rate and second-rate Algarveans in terms of access to health care," he added.

He also defended improvements in the city's cruise port, in order to bring added value to the municipality, the promotion of Residential Tourism “in partnership with the various agents in the sector”, and the boost to local commerce. «The center of Portimão has a commercial area that deserves our full attention and that requires us to look for solutions that, in collaboration with businesspeople, make it possible to restore the brightness of other times».

In this sense, the candidate stated that she committed to "negotiating with parking concessionaire companies to reduce their cost, thus attracting more people to the city center and more customers for traditional commerce", an announcement that took off strong. applause to the audience.

In order to bring more people to the center, Isilda Gomes also proposes, if she wins the Chamber, to create a Loja do Municipe in that area, «so that, in an expeditious way and in a single place, the citizen can find the various answers from the various services. municipal authorities'.

Finally, stressing that the Chamber has to assume the role of "facilitating agent", he announced the creation of the Office of Support for Entrepreneurs and Investors, "which will be under my direct dependence, as well as the figure of the process manager, of so that, throughout the entire process, the citizen, the investor, only has to deal with a single interlocutor».

Closing the rally, António José Seguro considered Portimão as “an exemplary council, in supporting companies, people and traders”. And he left «a hug of recognition for the great work that Manuel das Luz has done at the head of this municipality».

"I know you will leave the Chamber, but Portimão will not leave your heart," Seguro said to Manuel da Luz, making the still president's eyes water with tears of emotion.

Turning then to Isilda Gomes, the national PS leader told him: "your task is not easy: to supplant the work done by the previous socialist mayors and face the difficult times that Portimão is going through".

As for the projects for the future of the city and the municipality, António José Seguro said that "enlarging the port of Portimão so that they can dock larger ships here is a commitment that I want to leave publicly here." That's if you're elected prime minister, of course.

At the end of all the political interventions, punctuated by a small musical interlude with young people from an Academy of Music quintet, and after the National Anthem was sung, Isilda Gomes was also entitled to a surprise, when one of her granddaughters took the stage to offer her a flower and a little kiss, so much to the candidate's taste.
