Olhanense drew this afternoon with Moreirense by a ball and, even when falling off the cloth, managed to avoid a defeat that would be very compromising for the Algarvian team's aspirations to remain in the Zon Sagres League.

Losing since the 30th minute, due to a penalty much contested by the Algarve, Olhanense saw winter reinforcement Lucas Sousa re-establish the equality in added time.

A providential goal, as Moreirense is one of the only two teams that are behind Olhanense in the league table. Beira-Mar closes the procession, but has one game in hand, and could overtake Moreira de Cónegos' team and draw with Olhanense on points if they win this Sunday in Paços de Ferreira.

In the first half, the Algarve took a long time to enter the game and Moreirense took the opportunity to be the most attacking team. Still, the opportunities were few and the goal came from a penalty.

Referee João Ferreira considered an intentional touch of the ball in the hand of Nuno Reis, after a shot by Chula. Olhanense's men contested the decision, but did not prevent Ricardo Pessoa from moving the home team forward on the scoreboard.

By the end of the first half there was more Olhanense than had been seen so far, a trend that continued after the break. But the result remained unchanged even almost to the end. It was after 90 minutes when Lucas Sousa scored the goal for the visitors, rewarding the efforts of the Algarve in securing at least one point.

by the time the game between Moreirense and Olhanense ended, there were four teams that formed a sort of "platoon" near the relegation places, two of which had not yet entered the field at the time.

In 13th place, with 19 points and waiting to face Benfica in Luz, is Gil Vicente, who could jump to 12th and overtake Académica (21 points after a draw with Sporting) if they win. Olhanense is in 14th, with 18 points, followed by Moreirense, with 17 points. The 16th position is occupied, as already mentioned, by Beira-Mar, with 15 points and one game less.

In two rounds, the Algarvian team, which will receive the surprising Paços de Ferreira, who are fighting for third place that gives access to the Champions League, will again have a trip that could prove decisive to Aveiro, to face Beira- Sea.
