The Diocesan Youth Day begins today, in Faro, and lasts until Sunday, the 24th, and will be attended by the Bishop of the Algarve, D. Manuel Quintas.

Organized by the Secretariat of Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Algarve, this day counts on the collaboration of the parishes of the Algarve capital, with the reception of the participants being in charge of the parish of São Luís and their cantonment will be done in school pavilions in the city.

The beginning of this meeting of young Catholics in the Algarve is scheduled to take place between 18:00 and 19:30 on the 22nd and the evening program includes a concert by the São Sebastião Band of the Diocese of Coimbra, with dinner at 20:XNUMX being the responsibility of each one.

On Saturday, the day will begin with morning prayer in parish churches, followed by various moments of reflection in various thematic spaces throughout the city. Lunch will be the responsibility of each participant.

From 14 pm onwards, the young people will head to the College of Nossa Senhora do Alto, where games, workshops, and other activities will take place (such as a brief presentation inspired by the Pope's message for World Youth Day).

In the evening, after the dinner offered by the city's parishes, there will be a moment of prayer sung by Claudine Pinheiro, followed by a prayer vigil, which will end with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 3:30 am and all who wish will be able to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation.

On Sunday, after morning prayer (breakfast and an additional supply of food provided by the parishes of the city), all the young people will proceed to the Manuel Bivar Garden, where the Palm Sunday Eucharist will begin at 11:30 am chaired by the bishop of the Algarve. The activity will continue in the Sé, after the procession, still with the presence of D. Manuel Quintas.
