The schools of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education are once again joining hands to celebrate another edition of the Quelfes Games in the Municipality of Olhão, which take place between the 6th and the 17th of April.
There are several competition modalities where, in addition to showing what they are worth and giving their best, students also participate in a unique interaction.
Athletics, basketball, fencing, swimming and football are among some of the modalities in which participating students will have the opportunity to 'do their best', corresponding to the spirit of excellence, friendship and respect that has always marked the event .
This year, the opening ceremony, scheduled for 17:00 pm on April 6th (Saturday) at the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão, highlights the songs of the Olympic Games, presented live by Melissa Almeida and Ricardo Ribeiro, among others, with live band accompaniment.
In addition to the musical show, there will also be a presentation of the short film «Call to the Games» and the awarding of the prizes «Legends of the Quelfes Games», among many other surprises, including a tribute to the Olympic Committee of Portugal.
Tickets for the opening ceremony, free of charge, can now be collected at the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão or at the Parish Council of Quelfes.
