The Vila Real de Santo António City Council will be present at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), the largest national event dedicated to tourism, which takes place between February 27 and March 3, at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL).
Vila Real de Santo António is present in the «Algarve Space» – which includes all the municipalities in the region for the joint promotion of the destination, in Pavilion 1 of FIL -, where daily actions and demonstrations will be held.
On the opening day of BTL, February 27, at 11:00 am, the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2013 will also be known, where the Vila Real de Santo António City Council is nominated in the category of Best Municipality.
In addition to its promotional presence, the City Council will develop, during the fair, a series of meetings with representatives of national and international tour operators.
VRSA's presence at BTL is part of the promotion plan for the current year and also follows up on the county's multiple promotion actions, such as its presence at the International Tourism Fair – Fitur (Madrid) or the recent Fam Trip, organized in conjunction with the Odiana association, which brought to VRSA three tour operators from the UK.
The VRSA stand and the Algarve space at BTL can be visited by the public on days 1 (from 18:00 pm to 23:00 pm), on the 2nd (from 12:00 pm to 23:00 pm) and March 3 (from 12:00 pm to 23:00 pm). The remaining days (27 and 28 February) are exclusive to professionals in the sector.
Since its first edition and until 2012, BTL received 994.618 visitors who responded to the call of 15.261 companies and exhibiting entities present throughout 24 editions. In 2013, BTL turns 25 and will reach the milestone of one million visitors.
