“Empresas e Futuro” will be debated in the city of Tavira, with the support of EMPET – Activating Tavira, the result of close collaboration with university professor Carlos Vieira, as general coordinator and initiator of the editions of the Business and Future Seminar.

The Seminar “Businesses and the Future”, which this year has its 10th edition to be held on March 6th, will have a special session addressed to entrepreneurs on March 5th, in Tavira.

The session in Tavira on the 5th is developed with two individual initiatives, one in Workshop format, from 16:00 pm to 18:00 pm, in the Main Hall of the City Council, and another at the Hotel Porta Nova, a Dinner-Lecture, from 19:00 pm to 23:00 pm.

The Workshop has the participation of regional agents in the agrifood sector and is under the theme “Competitiveness, Distribution: good practices”.

Speakers for this session are Pedro Madeira, director of frusoal, Arnoldo Heeren, Director of Operations at Driscoll's Portugal, and Kanes Rajah, director of the Business School of Royal Agricultural College (UK).

The Dinner-Lecture will debate the theme “Competitive Mindset” and intends to be a catalyst for the new dynamics of business management.

It has international speakers from reputable organizations such as Richard Brandt, from Lehigh university – Harvard Business School, Jay Hollowell, vice president of MaxKnowledge Inc, Kanes Rajah, director of the Business School at the Royal Agricultural College, and Carlos Vieira, from ESGHT at the University of Algarve.

The opening and closing of the Dinner-Lecture are in charge of João Pedro Rodrigues, president of the EMPET, and Jorge Botelho, president of the Tavira City Council.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the municipality of Tavira and EMPET in stimulating and developing positive environments, favorable to entrepreneurship and innovation, namely in the sectors of Economy of the Sea, Agro-industry and Tourism.

EMPET – Business Parks of Tavira, EM, following the promotion of its business park and the constant search for business attractiveness factors, is once again associated with initiatives that reinforce competitive knowledge, constituting a driving force for the economy local and regional.

This dynamic has been materialized in the partnership that EMPET develops with the University of Algarve and, in particular, with the participation of Carlos Vieira, as Scientific Coordinator of the project Activate Tavira.

Participation in the Workshop and in the Dinner-Lecture is subject to registration via the e-mail address: [email protected] .
