Last December, young PS activist Raquel Faustino was elected coordinator of socialist party youth in the municipality of Olhão, becoming the first woman elected to the position.
The now JS/Olhão coordinator headed a single list, which also included Bruno Alves, Nuno Candeias and Joel Gomes. Ricardo Calé was elected to chair the Board of the Assembly of Militants.
Raquel Faustino is a psychologist and has a history of several years of participation in the solidarity and voluntary movement.
«The main priority of this new team is to build a project of change for the municipality's youth, in a policy of proximity and active participation of young people», revealed JS/Olhão, in a press release.
