The programming for the last month of 2012 at TEMPO – Municipal Theater of Portimão starts with “Neighbors – Portrait of a Nearby Memory”, the photography exhibition integrated in the City Day celebrations that will open on December 9, at 15:00 pm, and whose 22 photographs will be on display in the foyer until January 5th.

This set of images is part of a project by the Parish Council of Portimão, authored and photographed by Patrícia Bauman, who uses photography to build a space of memory over a series of people who share the same geographical space in the daily exercise of their profession and that they are TEMPO's neighbors, workers from 11 traditional commercial establishments located in the vicinity of this cultural facility.

After the presentation of “Lake of the Swans” in November, the Russian Classical Ballet company returns to TEMPO on December 12th to present another classic, “The Nutcracker”, a show that will start at 21 pm and which has tickets between 00 and the 25 euros.

In a concert also included in the program of the city's 88th anniversary celebrations, António Pinho Vargas will close on the 15th, at 21 pm, the cycle “Trilogia de Piano”, which took Mário Laginha and Pedro Burmester to the stage of TEMPO. In this performance, with tickets between 30 and 18 euros, Vargas revisits the main themes that make the musician one of the great Portuguese pianists and composers.

Favoring local institutions, TEMPO also hosts several events throughout this month, starting on the 8th, at 21 pm, with the Christmas Gala of the Clube de Instrução e Recreio Mexilhoeirense, which, in partnership with the Gwen Morris Ballet School , will show the work of the rhythmic gymnastics classes and the Ballet School of Portimão, for a price of 00 euros.

On the following day, December 9, at 16:00 pm, Grupo Coral Adágio promotes the XIX edition of the Meeting of Choirs, which is also part of the City Day program and will feature performances by Charales Chorus de Minde, Grupo Coral de Lagos, Children's and Youth Choir of Adágio “Coreto”, in addition to the hosts, in an interpretation of Christmas themes, with free entry.

On the 10th, at 21 pm, the Orquestra de Sopros do Algarve, with the Choir of the Conservatório de Portimão, will present “Ti'Anita” in a classical version, composed by Nuno Rodrigues, in another show included in the Dia da Cidade program and with tickets at 30 euros.

Closing the year, the now traditional Christmas Concert by the Sociedade Filarmónica Portimonense, on December 22nd at 16 pm, with free admission.
