The women's team from the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg) won 2nd place in the National University Table Tennis Championship (Teams), held in Braga on December 12th.
Of the two male teams from AAUAlg, one was also classified in 2nd place and the other in 4th.
The Algarve female team only lost in the final with the team from the University of Porto.
The formations of the Algarve academy presented themselves rocked by the performances of the previous editions, where they won places on the podium of the final classification and even access and participation in the European University Championships of the modality.
The women's team consisted of Sara Gomes and Andreia Almeida, and two men, the first with Miguel Fernandes, Celso Madeira and Nuno Fernandes, and the second with Pedro Silva, Diogo Floro and João Nunes.
With the results obtained, the teams classified in 2nd place await the verdict of qualifying for participation in the European Table Tennis Championship that will take place in Zonguldak, Turkey, in June of next year.
