This Tuesday, November 13th, at 19:30 pm (Portuguese time) a total solar eclipse will begin, but only visible in the northeastern part of Australia.

In fact, the total eclipse of the Sun will be visible in Australasia between 5:45 am and 7:40 am at dawn on the 14th (Australian time). Nor will the partial eclipse of the Sun be visible in other parts of the globe such as Europe, America and Africa.

In fact, it will only cross a small tract of Australian land. Despite the distance, we will be able to "follow" you live through the internet: http://www.eclipse2012.org.au/.

The next total eclipse of the Sun visible in Portugal will take place on August 12, 2026! And the next partials will be on November 3, 2013 and March 20, 2015 (not to be missed).

A detailed description of this phenomenon is also advised here: http://astropt.org/blog/2012/10/25/eclipse-solar-total-de-13-novembro-de-2012/
