The locality of Fuzeta, in Olho, will receive the action «Let's Clean the Ria! – Fuzeta Limpa 2012», on the 20th of October. The Foz do Eta Association challenges all those who want to volunteer to be present at the CP da Fuzeta station, at 9 am that day, a Saturday. The action will focus on the riverside area of this fishing village.
Those who want to help do not have to bring any material, as the organization will be in charge of arranging it. It is only recommended to wear suitable footwear, in this case, rubber boots. Those who are unable to be at the meeting point at the indicated time can pick up volunteers along the Ria, as the action will start at the Crispim restaurant «the first restaurant after the Fuzeta train station (8min. on foot) ».
"This campaign is part of the Fuzeta Limpa Project, which aims to carry out voluntary cleaning actions, awareness campaigns and presentations about our environment and the various precautions that we must take to the 1st and 2nd School cycle", revealed the Foz do Eta in a statement.
The action has the support of the Center for Biology Students of the University of Algarve (NEBUA), the local Parish Council, ARH Algarve and the municipal company Ambiolhão. More information about the association and this initiative can be obtained on the Foz do Eta website.
