D. Manuel Neto Quintas, bishop of the Algarve, is in Conceição de Tavira, in Cacela e Altura (belonging to the parish of Castro Marim), on a pastoral visit, from this Sunday, October 21st, until the next 28th.
Meetings with children, parents and catechists, with confirmations (in preparation to receive the sacrament of Confirmation), with advice on pastoral and economic affairs, with extraordinary ministers of communion, agents of liturgical animation, cleaning and ornamentation of churches, social-charitable action , with choral groups, party committees, parish center committees and reflection groups, are some of the activities that will take place during this visit, which will also take the bishop of the Algarve to know the schools and homes for the elderly and patients from these localities.
D. Manuel Quintas will make, during this year 2012-2013, six pastoral visits (this is the first), namely to the parishes of Tavira (from 4 to 11 November), Santa Luzia, Luz de Tavira and Santo Estêvão (from 9 to 16 December), from Monte Gordo, Vila Real de Santo António, Castro Marim, Azinhal and Odeleite (January 27th to February 10th), Alcoutim, Pereiro and Giões (March 3rd to 10th) and Martim Longo, Vaqueiros and Cachopo (April 28th on May 5th).
