Yesterday, the Municipality of Tavira published the announcement of opening a public tender procedure to fill 34 jobs for curriculum enrichment activities (AEC).
The approximately 950 students from the 1st cycle of basic education schools and 250 students from pre-school education in the municipality of Tavira will only have curriculum enrichment activities from October onwards, since the Government only authorized the Chamber Municipal to open the competitions on September 12th.
The vacancies placed in the competition are intended for teachers of English (eight jobs), physical activity and sports (eleven), music (nine) and dramatic expression (six), and those interested must complete their registration in the computer application designed by General Directorate of School Administration, available at http://dgae.min-edu.pt
At the opening of this school year, despite the limitations imposed by the government and due to the current economic situation, the municipality of Tavira has taken on a set of measures to support the educational community and families, resulting in a global investment of more than 1,1 million euros.
In addition to this effort, the Municipality of Tavira is deeply committed to completing the contract for the construction of the Horta do Carmo School Center, next to the D. Paio Peres Correia Basic School for the 2nd and 3rd Cycles in the old field of fair, which involves a global investment of over 3,5 million euros, and its conclusion is expected during this school year.
