the PSD of Faro today he accused the local PS of being "weakened" and seeking "political benefit" in the case of the new water and sewage network in the parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe that was inaugurated on this municipal holiday in Faro.

Yesterday, the socialists had claimed credit for these improvements, even expressing their pride “of finally seeing the water supply and basic sanitation work completed in the Parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe”.

The PS/Faro he had also accused "the boycott of the PSD" of being responsible for the postponement of the works "by about two years, thereby harming the legitimate interests and rights of the populations by pure partisan opportunism".

As one would expect, the Social Democrats have a very different position, for whom the PS/Faro signed “another episode of political profit by claiming the laurels of this work, claiming responsibility for its launch to the former socialist executive and even implying that this and other achievements carried out in this term are no more than mere socialist legacies”.

Well, according to the PSD/Faro, «nothing at this moment could seem more gratuitous and far from reality» and is «obviously false».

In its communiqué, the PSD Section Policy Committee Faro he adds: “the PS and all Farenses know the calamitous state in which the current majority found the Municipality, drowned in debts that compromised its internal functioning and seriously conditioned in its mission by gigantic financial encumbrances. This was the legacy bequeathed by the PS».

The Social Democrats admit that "work projects actually had some." But, they guarantee, «what didn't exist, and that this Executive tried to provide, was the financial capacity to carry them forward, namely a work that, like this one, budgeted at 5 million euros and was as fair as the old demand of these populations'.

The PSD/Faro says he draws other political conclusions from what he classifies as "another misfortune of the PS/Faro»: «the new management is slow to assert itself internally and has based its strategy on casual and sudden “hits” in matters that deserve careful analysis and a more considered position».

The Social Democrats even underline the existence of alleged “internal divisions within the party [PS]”, which “are a reality that the new leader can no longer hide. They are evident in the hesitant and diffuse sense of vote expressed in the last sessions of the Municipal Assembly, they are also evident in the dissensions that occurred within its bench, which even led to the abandonment of its leader, and are beginning to be so in everyday life of the county, where the subject is already unavoidable».

Finally, the PSD/Faro expresses its «satisfaction with the inauguration of a work that serves large population groups and ensures that Faro, increasingly, already provides a rate of coverage in the water network and sewage collection in line with the importance of a modern council that guarantees the fulfillment of basic rights of citizens».
