There are only a few hours to go before another edition, the 27th, of the Seafood Festival in Olhão. In Jardim Pescador Olhanense, the finishing touches are being put on so that, by the time of the opening – 19:30 pm – everything is ready to receive the thousands of expected visitors.

This first night promises a full house, with the presentation of the Olhanense team and the performance of Tony Carreira. Maya presents the best selling singer in Portugal!

If music is a major attraction of the Seafood Festival, with a luxury lineup that surpasses itself every year, gastronomy is no less so. Until next Sunday, the best flavors of the sea can be discovered at the Festival venue, next to Rua Formosa. For seafood and shellfish lovers, these next five days will be a real temptation.

Cataplana and seafood rice, paella and clams, anchovy and crab, clams and lobsters, seafood and lobster bread, oysters and fried prawns… The variety is immense and awaits all visitors in the seven pavilions that the organization presents this year inside the enclosure (one more than the year before). Drinks to accompany are also not lacking, as well as regional sweets.

This 27th edition of the Seafood Festival, which begins today, runs until the 12th, at Jardim Pescador Olhanense and this year has one day less, but the organization hopes that the number of visitors – around 60 thousand – will remain, that is, that people who visited the Festival in six days, this year do so in five.

With the most affordable prices (8 euros for adults and three for children), as happened last year, it is expected that visitors will continue to be present at the event in large numbers, as mentioned in the press conference to present the Festival the Mayor of Olhão Francisco Leal. The quality of shellfish and shellfish is a point of honor and is ensured by the inspection of the municipal veterinarian and shellfish merchants.

After the tasty snacks, the stage fills up, these five nights, for great concerts by Tony Carreira, GNR, Tribute to the Beatles, Rui Veloso and Banda Calypso. The Seafood Festival in Olhão promises a lot of entertainment from today, as it creates a perfect symbiosis between quality music and a variety of seafood.
