A mother and her two children died this morning at around 9:30 am, victims of an explosion in their home in Quinta do Sobral, between São Bartolomeu and Castro Marim.
According to the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro, the causes of the explosion are not yet determined.
The victims are, to what the Sul Informação he learned from a source at the Chamber of Castro Marim, a woman of Brazilian nationality and her two children, aged 6 and 14 years old.
The alert was given at 9:58 am by a neighbor who called 112, warning of the explosion and of smoke coming out of the house. The firefighters were immediately called and even had to put out the flames, later coming across the bodies of the victims.
The Judiciary Police and the GNR are also at the site, as well as a psychological support team from INEM and members of the Chamber of Castro Marim.
