The festivities of Nossa Senhora da Luz, in Lagoa, which are celebrated on the 8th of September, a municipal holiday in the municipality, begin on Sunday, the 2nd, with a mass at noon, celebrating the 198th anniversary of the consecration of the Igreja Matriz. .
On the 6th, at 18:30h, there will be a Eucharist and penitential celebration, while on the 7th, Friday, after a new Eucharist at 18:30h, the fête opens at 20:00h next to the parish church and the garden.
On Saturday, September 8, celebrations in honor of Nossa Senhora da Luz, patron saint of Lagoa, include a mass at 9:00 am, a concelebration at 17:30 pm, and the high point of the procession with the litter, leaving the Igreja Matriz at 19:00 and walks through the streets of the city. The fete opens again at 20:00.
But the festivities still have a profane part, which usually includes a street fair next to the church and even a musical program, on the stage set up in the square. The highlight will be the performance of Toy, on the night of September 8th, Saturday, preceded by Bruna and her dancers. On the 7th, at 22 pm, Ana Ritta performs.
