Cacela Velha is getting ready to host, on the 8th of July (Sunday), a Summer Market, between 17 pm and 00 pm.
Antiques, antiques and collecting, traditional handicrafts (works, basketwork, tin and recycled materials), food products (honey, bread in a wood oven, cakes and jams) or natural creams and soaps are just some of the many products that can be found in this little market.
Visitors to the historic town of Cacela Velha can also listen to music or see theater and street entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening. The dj Yacobian and the theater group «Fech'Ó pano» will be responsible for the poster.
During the afternoon there will also be workshops on basket making, building work, tin making, toys and pottery, giving participants the opportunity to learn how to make baskets or how to mold clay.
The Summer Mercadinho is organized by the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António / Research and Information Center for Heritage of Cacela (CIIPC) and by the Association for the Defense, Rehabilitation, Research and Promotion of the Natural and Cultural Heritage of Cacela (Adrip).
