New facilities for an employment center at the Employment Center will be transferred to the Employment and Vocational Training Institute, under the protocol signed on July 7th, between Desidério Silva, mayor of Albufeira, and Carlos Baía, regional delegate of IEFP.
The building is located in Urbanização Habijovem, in Quinta da Palmeira, where the current Employment Center is located, which, from August onwards, will make way for the new space.
The document signing ceremony, which took place at the Municipality's Salão Nobre, was attended by the Secretary of State for Employment Pedro Silva Martins.
The government official praised the partnership, saying that it will "contribute to the creation and quality of employment in the county."
For the mayor of Albufeira, "this service post will provide better service conditions for users, who will also be able to attend professional training actions that are necessary to improve the level of employability there".
This is another measure aimed at combating the high level of unemployment in the region. The Municipality of Albufeira states that it has been carrying out, in collaboration with the IEFP, workshops that promote entrepreneurship and job creation in the municipality.
