The Left Block defended this Tuesday that the requalification of the EN125 has become "a mirage", which further aggravates the consequences of the introduction of tolls on Via do Infante.
A situation that will take the Algarvian militants of this party to the streets, on July 25, in an action that intends to denounce “the “black spots” along the EN 125 and demand their immediate requalification, as planned”.
Blocists accused the government of lying, by pointing to April 2013 as the date for completion of the works, recalling that one of the companies in the consortium is insolvent, which will lead to "the works not being restarted anytime soon."
“The planned requalification may never even happen. It should be remembered that one of the previous promises would be the end of the requalification works to take place in June 2012 and only from then on the collection of tolls will begin. And another promise from the PSD, CDS and PS was that the Algarve would never have tolls!», remembers BE/Algarve in a statement.
The blocistas also affirmed that not even after being requalified, the EN 125 “will be an alternative to the Via do Infante”, for which they demand from the Government “the immediate suspension of the tolls on the A22”.
