The seventh edition of the Citizenship Fair, Book Fair, Children's Festival, this year dedicated to the European Year of Active Aging and Solidarity between Generations, took place between May 31 and June 2, with the participation of 37 public and private institutions local and regional.

The event was aimed at the entire civil society (children, adults and seniors) who traveled through the space, enjoying or participating in more than fifty activities.

During the three days of the Fair and integrated in cultural, educational and leisure activities, citizens were able to attend and participate in plastic arts workshops, fanfare performance, street animation shows, live concerts, presentations of several books and some activities sports.

In the opening session of the Fair, the deputy resident of the Câmara de Lagoa distributed the participation certificates to the institutions that collaborated in the realization of this local event.

Rui Correia highlighted that, “in fact, despite living in times of crisis, there is also an exponential increase in the dynamics of solidarity and activities developed by all social partners, who innovate and adopt creative intervention strategies, where the collaboration between partners is unquestionable”.

This achievement by the Municipality of Lagoa aimed to create the interactivity of all participants, exhibitors and visitors, in an event where everyone can have a leading role and opportunity to show their work.

“The Fair is tailored so that civil society can be creative and an artist for a day, in a party of and for the community”, adds the municipality.
