The Municipality of São Brás is close to celebrating the respectable age of one hundred years, but that doesn't stop the party from being danced. Young people and children from the Municipal Dance School will mark 98 years of this mountain council with a show that will take place on Saturday, at Jardim da Verbena, from 21 pm.
This event will bring together about a hundred young dancers who integrate the various modalities available at the Municipal Dance School, including Ballet, Educational Dance, Initiation to Classical Dance, Classical Dance, Classical Dance-Pontas, Gimnodança, Street Jazz and Musical. Admission is free.
«This school, founded in 2000 by the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, was created with the aim of providing training in different styles of dance to children and young people in the municipality, an important contribution to the physical-psychological development of young people, who through dance they build new bonds of friendship and team spirit», revealed the City of São Brás, in a statement.
Parallel to the end-of-year concert at the Escola de Música, the Berloque market will take place at Jardim da Verbena «another event of the Summer Cycle of the Mercadinho dos Artessãos, bringing together more than a dozen local artisans, in an exhibition of jewelry items» .
