Portinado won this Sunday, in Rio Maior, Salgueiros, by 11-9, thus becoming, for the third consecutive year, national champion of the 1st Division of Men's Seniors in Water Polo.

The team from Portimão beat Paranhos by 11-9, with partials of 3-1, 2-1, 2-4 and 4-3. Yesterday, Salgueiros had managed to beat the Algarve, by 14-12, with partials of 2-2, 4-3, 2-6 and 4-3, thus postponing the title decision to this Sunday.

The games in this play-off final had to be played at the Olympic Swimming Pool in Rio Maior, in the center of the country, as there is not, in Portimão, or even in the Algarve, a swimming pool with the conditions required for this final phase.

The players, technical team and managers of Portinado will be received this evening, at 21 pm, with a party in the square in front of Portimão Town Hall.
