Alcoutim City Council will promote, on June 6th, at 21 pm, at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho, a lecture entitled “Alcoholism – Solutions”.
With speakers Álvaro Pereira and António Camacho, doctors from the Support Center for Drug Addicts in Olhão, and moderated by the doctor and mayor Francisco Amaral, this session will focus on solutions to this problem.
“The alcoholic is not a hopeless case, as many think, but rather a patient who has to be helped, although sometimes he seems not to want it, by family, friends, the NHS and local authorities. Because there are solutions and everyone wins, namely the patient and the family”, said the mayor of Alcoutim recently, in a lecture given in Vilamoura.
