A young man disappeared this Sunday at the Arade Dam, in Silves, when he fell off a board in a deep water area of the reservoir.
The accident happened around 16:15 pm, when three friends, aged between 18 and 21, were having fun with a board, which ended up overturning.
Two of them managed to swim and reach the shore safe and sound, but the third disappeared into the waters.
In order to try to find the young man's body, searches were carried out by firefighters on the banks of the dam and using a boat and divers. However, a source at CDOS said that at 20:15 pm, as night fell, the searches were halted.
In principle, searches should resume tomorrow morning.
