The non-scheduling of a show by Herman José at Teatro das Figuras, this year, was exclusively linked to the lack of dates that would allow the Portuguese artist to come and not to an alleged lack of interest of the Faro cultural structure in this event, guaranteed this Monday. fair, the direction of the municipal company from Faro.

The Municipal Theater of Faro posted this morning a clarification on this controversy on Facebook, the social network where the issue arose, after a post posted on the artist's official page. In that publication, it was read that the TMF had rejected the show «One (Her)Man Show» because it «did not fit in the programming of the last quarter» of Teatro das Figuras, and the author of the post referred, in an ironic tone, that « there they will have their reasons, which I have no doubt will be extraordinarily legitimate!».

A very different version from TMF, who guaranteed that they never said that the show didn't interest him.

«On May 4, 2012, it was proposed to us to arrange a date in October or November, to host the aforementioned show. In the proposal in question, as compensation, the TMF would pay all the licenses, and would hand over 90% of the total ticket revenue to the promoter", reads the clarification of the TMF.

«We answered, on May 15th, that in November we did not have any date available, and in October only one date, which we were precisely booking for another show already under negotiation with the same producer, and which given the scarcity from the dates we had available, we saw little scope for considering it in 2012, given the programming priorities already defined until the end of the year», adds the entity from Farense. “Never was mentioned any other interest on different dates nor was we refused the possibility of hosting it in 2013,” they assured.

Those responsible for the TMF also stressed that, in a structure like this, the programming "is made months in advance, with contracts that are negotiated sometimes more than a year in relation to their implementation".

Although the post placed on Herman José's Facebook page states that this artist's show was proposed at "no cost" to the TMF, "only with the exploitation of the box office", the truth is that, according to Farense theater, all licenses would have to be paid by you, reserving 10% of the ticket revenue for TMF.

The chance to present the show «One (Her)Man Show» in Faro, the artist heads to São Brás de Alportel, on the 28th of July.
