Flesk Telecom Lda., one of the largest Portuguese companies in the area of providing Internet services, namely in domain registration and hosting, announced today that it will now provide 100Mbps bandwidth to all its dedicated server customers , through its registered trademark Domains.PT.
This new value of 100Mbps, valid for current and new customers, multiplies by 10 the previous available bandwidth.
This value has no traffic count and is symmetric, with the upload and download speed being equal.
The service upgrade is carried out by Flesk Telecom without any associated cost, however customers who wish to do so can still contract the upgrade to a symmetrical 1 Gigabit connection (1024 Mbps).
This announcement is all the more important as it comes at a time when the main Portuguese ISPs are providing Internet access with greater bandwidth. However, these bandwidths are only significant if companies have their servers installed in a datacenter that also provides high-speed access.
Bruno Carlos, general director of Flesk Telecom, explains that "this significant improvement in services to our customers follows the investment made at the end of 2011 in our new datacenter, which has advanced technical conditions and is among the best in Portugal at this level."
Flesk Telecom is headquartered in Areal Gordo, in Faro, boosting the Algarve's capital with the only infrastructure of this type in the south of the country.
The company is among the market leaders in the area of Internet Service Provision, namely Domain Registration and Shared and Dedicated Hosting Service, through the Domains.Pt project, the brand it owns.

Flesk Telecom Lda has its own datacenter, located in the national territory, and has its entire infrastructure based on fiber optics, using redundant systems with several Internet operators, in order to ensure that a possible failure of one of these does not affect the services provided by the entity.
All equipment used in the datacenter are internationally recognized brands for their reliability and stability, which are constantly monitored by the technical team, with real-time quality of service reports.
