ALFA photographers captured on the weekend, 26th and 27th of May, the beauty of two finalist beaches at the 7 Maravilhas – Praias de Portugal, namely the beaches of Odeceixe and Arrifana, both in Aljezur, and prove it through the photos because they are so well classified among national beaches.
On the first day, the photographers visited Arrifana beach, where they were able to observe the sunset that provided moments that did not escape the attentive lenses. Before, the beaches of Amoreira and Monte Clérigo were visited.
On the second day of the getaway, the participants traveled to Odeceixe, where is another of the candidate beaches for the 7 Wonders, and were able to observe the beauty of the landscape, where the sea reaches the sands and crashes into the rocks that surround it.
Protected by high schist cliffs, this beach forms a kind of small bay, known for containing a river beach and allowing for bathing in the sea and river.
But the visit to Odeceixe did not end with the visit to the beach, as the group had the opportunity to go shopping at Mercadinho, an initiative that the Parish Council is promoting, involving two dozen local organic producers, on Sundays, in the center of the village ..
The tour began at Aljezur City Hall, where the 16 photographers were received by the Councilor for Culture António Carvalho, who explained why these beaches are so well classified and highlighted the beauty and excellence of Aljezur's environmental heritage.
In this way, the cameras also went to explore the streets of that village, through a route that took them to various places, such as the old Castle, the Historic Center and the Municipal Museum.
This route was accompanied by the vice president of the Association for the Defense of the Historical Heritage of Aljezur (ADPHA) José Marreiros, who explained to the photographers several historical issues involving that village, among other issues.
The escape to the heart of the Costa Vicentina ended with visits to Bordeira, Carrapateira – Circuito do Pontal and finally Praia do Amado.
As a result of the evaluation of the tour, ALFA elected in advance and recommends to its members to vote on Odeceixe beach, in Aljezur, as the first choice for the 7 Wonders of Portugal www.7maravilhas.sapo.pt.
The previous activity carried out was an exhibition about the Ria Formosa, which was held until Sunday at FNAC da Guia, at Algarve Shopping, and will be on display in June on the paparazzi em Faro. The next one will be an initial photography training workshop, scheduled for ARCO Gallery, on June 23rd and 24th.
