This Friday and Saturday, the Algarve hosts two solidarity concerts with Father Victor to support needy families and scouts.

The first, in the auditorium of the Conservatório Regional do Algarve, in Faro, and is intended to support needy families in the parish of São Pedro in that city and the second is held in Monchique, in Largo dos Chorões, and will serve to support the local grouping of the Corpo Nacional de Escutas and the Companhia das Guias de Portugal.

These initiatives will also serve for the presentation, in the Algarve, of the album «Palavras», the first by the 35-year-old singer priest, who is also parish priest and teacher in Torre de Moncorvo (diocese of Bragança-Miranda), announces the newspaper «Sunday sheet».

Born in Cujó, Castro Daire, the Father Victor decided “to embrace pop music as a way to complement its mission in the community and to reach out to the faithful and everyone who wants to hear it”.

Em Faro, the concert “Words in Acoustic”, which will take place at 21 pm, will feature the participation of Grupo Coral Segundo Chapter and Grupo Coral from Colégio Nossa Senhora do Alto and admission will cost three euros and delivery of a personal care product.

The initiative is promoted by the group “Cem Rostos”, an organization of Christians from parishes in the city of Faro, with the support of the Social Pastoral Department of the Diocese of Algarve.

In Monchique, the concert takes place at 21 pm, is organized by the City Council, has free admission and the first part will feature the performance of the Algarve fado singer Luís Manhita.
