On June 2nd, in Jardim do Coreto, the Volunteer Bank of Tavira promotes the 1st Solidarity Market “Sol e Trocas”, whose purpose is to exchange goods and/or services directly, without the circulation of currency. Those interested in participating must register until May 20th.

This initiative is part of the solidarity economy philosophy and allows you to experience a reality where there are no economic limitations, aiming at collective well-being.

The realization of this action aims to encourage mutual help among producers, trade between the parties, as well as encourage the consumption of biological products.

Vegetables and fruit, jams, cakes, bread, liqueurs and other foodstuffs, as well as massage services, manicures, make-up, hairdressing are some of the examples of what can be found in this market. The exchange of toys, clothes and other miscellaneous utensils is also allowed, as long as they are in good condition.

At the same time, the Tavira Solidarity Market includes the donation variant, and there is provision for a stand to collect goods for social solidarity institutions in the municipality.
