The Jardim Pescador Olhanense, in Olhão, will host between June 3 and 10, for the fourth consecutive year, the Baby Week of Olhão, with the 2012 edition as the motto “The World of My Family”. A social walk and a seminar with the presence of the event's godmother, actress and presenter Adelaide de Sousa, are some of the highlights.
The event, which stands out for its primary prevention and awareness of more responsible parenting that promotes mental health in early childhood, is aimed at the general population and also at health professionals, with the collaboration of a total of 60 this year. local, regional and national entities and a great involvement on the part of school institutions, highlighting UNICEF's institutional support.
In this edition, with the theme "The World of My Family", the aim is to sensitize the whole community to the importance of the family in the integral development of the child, as an element of affection and security. This theme takes on special relevance today, where the current situation in the country is increasingly reflected in the difficulties experienced by our generations.
For the organizing committee, Municipality of Olhão and Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve, in collaboration with the Support Group for Children's Mental Health (GASMI) of the Functional Unit of Olhão (ACES Central), among other entities, just like that, by promoting adequate care and healthy and quality interactions between parents and children with them, it is possible to provide children with cognitive, affective and social experiences that are essential to become more proactive citizens.
The event starts on June 3rd with the Outing for Children and Families at 09:30 am, departing from Jardim do Pescador Olhanense (it coincides with the Final March of the IDP Regional Circuit).
In the vast program of this 4th Baby Week in Olhão, one of the highlights is scheduled for June 8 with the Technical Seminar, at the Hotel Real Marina in Olhão, with the presence of the godmother of the Week, the actress and presenter Adelaide de Sousa, who is accompanied by her husband, Taylor, and son, Kyle, who will also be present at the fair during the week, at Jardim Pescador Olhanense, which runs from 7 to 10 June, featuring a wide range of activities , such as workshops, music, theater, dance, stories or fashion show (babies and families).
From the 3rd to the 6th of June, a series of community activities will also take place, promoted by the various partners in the municipality, including the Local Trade Showcase Contest and the School Work Contest.
