The Spaniard Miguel Segura (Fermase/Feria de Muestras de Armilla) won the two stages of today's Tour of the Municipality of Loulé, snatching the leadership of the competition.

In the morning, Segura was the fastest in the three-kilometre chrono-climb that linked Loulé to Moinho de Alfeição, covering the course in 6m53s, at an average of 26,150 km/h.

Despite the success in the morning tirade, Segura did not immediately put on the yellow sweater. Ricardo Teixeira (Liberty Seguros/Feira/Specialized) came out of the time trial in the lead, who dethroned Fábio Mansilhas (Silva & Vinha/ADRAP/Sentir Penafiel).

In the afternoon, the Spanish junior once again showed great potential, imposing himself after the 40,6 kilometers, run on a circuit, in Alfontes. Miguel Segura cut the goal isolated with 1h16m58s, at an average of 31,650 km/h.

Rúben Guerreiro (Alcobaça/Crédito Agrícola) and Zulmiro Magalhães (Liberty Seguros/Feira/Specialized), second and third, respectively, arrived at 1m15s.

Today's double shift completely revolutionized the overall standings. Miguel Segura leads with 1m26s ahead of Rúben Guerreiro and with 1m27s ahead of Zulmiro Magalhães. The Spaniard is also first on points and in flying goals.

Rui Carvalho (Silva & Vinha/ADRAP/Sentir Penafiel) heads the climbers' table and Liberty Seguros is in charge of teams.

The Tour to the Municipality of Loulé will end this Saturday with a 98 km stretch between Quarteira and Loulé.
