Ricardo Mestre (Carmim-Prio-Tavira) won this Sunday the Liberty Seguros GP, thanks to the tiebreaker by hundredths of a second, after winning the last stage, a time trial that was always going up, between Santo Tirso and Senhora da Assunção, in distance of 4,8 kilometers.

The winner of the 2011 Volta a Portugal completed the individual exercise in 12m40s, at an average of 22,737 km/h, the same record as the second, José Mendes (LA-Antarte), and the third, Sérgio Sousa (Efapel-Glassdrive) .

In the general accounts, the tie was broken using the hundredths of a second in the time trial stage. Thus, Ricardo Mestre took the final yellow jersey of the competition to the Algarve.

Sérgio Sousa finished the race with the same time, in second place, and Alejandro Marque (Carmim-Prio-Tavira) was third, at two seconds.

The Tavirenses still triumphed overall by teams. Enrique Salgueiro (LA-Antarte) was the best climber and David Rodrigues (ASC/KTM/Vitória) won the youth jersey.
